JANUARY 2024 LVE WEBINAR: 'Silence, Sound and Harmony: Reflections on the dynamics of music and consciousness' with Speaker Rodney Browne.
Rodneys musical journey started at the age of 5 on the recorder! He then progressed onto piano and trumpet, and played in brass ensembles and a jazz band. He studied music at Kingston University and went on to complete an MSC in Electroacoustic Music Composition at the Universty of Hertfordshire. Music has really played a pivotal role in nuturing values in his developmental stages and life experiences.
On a trip to South East Asia in 1991, he became fascinated by the temples and spiritual practices of the region before participating in a Buddhist meditation course in Indonesia. Whilst living and teaching English in Japan, he studied Raj Yoga meditation with Brahma Kumaris.
He currently lives in Brighton where he is the Head of Music at a secondary school. Throughout all of the challenges of this work environment, he finds solace and support in his meditation practice and spiritual perspective that he has developed over the years.
